In the 1980's 1st Carolina DJ's founder Kyle Shannon took great pride in being part of the Creative DJ's team in Baltimore, MD. Eventually becoming Creative's General Manager in 2000. It was through this development at one of the PREMIERE companies in the country through leader, Chris Michaels, that Shannon developed the basis for 1st Carolina's School business.

Since the late 80s we've performed in, supervised, organized, or assisted with 1000s of school dances giving us the foundation needed to be cool and responsible.

All of our DJ's work for us exclusively. We constantly update our equipment and library and our DJ's only use our stuff. Our state of the art digital audio system provides us with the controls needed to make sure nothing that shouldn't be played is played.

Sure you could hire another company with less experience for a couple of hundred dollars to save money but one thing is bound to happen, you'll either be embarrassed to the students or embarrassed to the parents. 1st Carolina DJ's is the best bridge between responsibility to administrators, faculty, staff and parents, and the "Cool" Factor to the students.
